January 9, last day

Today we went to Memes Rio. We set up the tables and benches that we made yesterday. We served lunch to the kids before they went to school. The cole reynolds group made water filters for the people there. I helped one of the masons, Victor set up frames for pooring concrete. We are in the process of buliding bathrooms there. We didnt bring a trompe, concrete mixer, so we mixed it by hand. This is a hard place to explain. It is very sad to see homes like this and people living there. Take a look at the pictures. It is something out of this world.

I am very sad that it was my last day. I applied to come back for the months of June and July, so I am praying that I get the internship! Thank you everyone for everything! I am excited to come home, but my heart will always be down here!

January 8

Today we did some work on the property. JJ, one of the staff and I built tables and benches for the Meme's Rio. Then We headed to the Cadeyrata. Cole Reynolds group is here this week, and he owns his own Water filtration company. Last may he and a team made a water filtration system out of buckets, and gave them out to 60 homes in the Cadeyrata. So today we replaced those filters, and Cole is taking the old ones to be cleaned and recycled. He also set up a huge filter in the church we are bulding here, so we fixed that up as well. We had a small prayer service, and then we served over 300 people dinner. The group Im helping this week is really cool. They are hard workers, and we really get a lot done! They do a great job with the kids. The kids at the Cadeyrata are soo cute, it is tough to see them grow up in a place like that. I take so much for granted back home. Just to have a bed to sleep in at night, food on the table, and more family and friends that Love me than I can even imagine.

January 7

I love my view each morning. The Mountains are so beautiful. Today the group of 50 came. They are from CHCA in Cincinnati. Quite a wild gang.haha. We had a cook out with CHD. the Kids had a blast. We did a lot of prep work in the morning. I organized all the work trailers, and we set up for the cook out. Jim and I took the truck in to get it fixed. We need a mechanic on campus!!! haha. We went to Tacos Fede tonight!!! One of my favorite restaurants! It was awesome!!!!

Januray 6

Today was kinda sad in the morning. John and Corrie Guckenberger left to go to Nigeria. They have been on staff for I believe about 5 or 6 years now, and are going to B2B Nigeria to develope the New property there. 52 acres were donated to B2B Nigeria, this past summer! After our good byes, we worked on the property for a couple hours pouring concrete. It was chilly in the morning, but by noon the sun was out and the skys were clear. We headed to CHD around 11, and put up shelves, and I stained some doors. I think I got more stain on my hands then on the doors though! haha. Most of the kids came back today, so we got to hang out with them! Our truck wouldnt start, so we ended up walking home. Luckily Douglas is a 10 minute walk from the property. But if we were any place else,..... well I can just say it would be a long time before we get back haha. It was great though. I can always use the exercise!.

Tonight I had Dinner at Tim and Kathy Couch's house. She made the best tacos I think I have ever eatin! Tim and Kathy are House parents for the David house in the Hope Program. They Have 6 Boys.

Two New Groups come tom, One with 12 people and another with 50. It should be exciting!

January 5

Today was very wet and kinda chilly! It drizzled all day, but we had a very productive day. We started out working at CHD, and then Gabo and I Went to Del Norte. Unfortunatly the kids were not there. So I missed little Juanita. They took some updated pics of them a few weeks ago, so I took pictures of pictures haha. There is a pic Julio, my Buddy from Manantial De Amor to. I took a Video of the Auditorium! It is completley finished now, and the wall along the back that we worked on in July Is finshed as well. There are two videos of the Auditorium, one of the outside, and one on the inside. Sorry if you get sea sick haha. tonight we had Rayitos de Luz over for a cook out. The kids are soo cute. I had a great day, and I am looking forward to tomorrow. Hopefully the rain will stop, and the sun will come out again!

Im Here

Hello all,

I made it safe and sound!! We went to Pollo Loco strait from the airport. (my fav restaurant!!!) It was soooo good. We arrived on campus and I am amazed at how much has changed just over a few months. The last two houses in the hope Program are completed, and the clinic is finished. It is soo wonderful to be here again. I am excited to start working with the kids tomorrow, and our first group arrives tomorrow as well. I am going to del Norte tom, and I am hoping to see little Juanita!!! I am soo thankful to the Lord for blessing me to come back down here. It has only been a couple hours and I can already feel the Lords Presence in me.

I am going to take lots of pictures, so be ready!!! haha. I will take some pics of the new buildings on the property tonight or Tom, and get them up so you guys can see them.
